How to study for a math test?

  • help me, i have a bunch of math tests coming up, and i dont know how to study for one, how do you study when you dont know what problems are gonna be on the test.

Read over any notes you've taken Re-do any problems you did in class I'm guessing you've done homework problems either in a textbook or on worksheets. You should look over those and make sure that you can do all of those types of problems. Practice by re-doing the problems until you are sure that you understand that material. If you are doing a math exam, providing that you kept all of them, re-take all of the previous tests you took in that class before the exam. If the teacher felt that that material and those problems were important enough to be on the test, she/he probably feels that they are important enough to go on the exam.

Ask your teacher what chapters the test will be on. Take your text book. if you don't get something then ask.

Look in your textbook for the chapter review section, then see if you know how to do all of the problems. If there are some that you aren't confident on, practice them (there may be examples). Also try to review vocabulary. You could use an online textbook, too, if your book has one. There's really no other way that I know :). Good luck on your test- I have one tomorrow too.
