How much should I pay to study in A-Level?

I really want to study but my parents don't have money to pay for my studying. What should I do?

  • I've been learning english for 2 years in England and I really want to study at university or college but I don't have enough money to pay for it and my parents neither. Since I came here I worked so hard and pay my rent, course and transport etc...everything.and never asked money from my parents because I know that they don't have. Also I'm international student, means it's more expensive and need to extend my visa every year. I really don't know what to do.It's almost impossible to work and pay. What should I do?

  • Answer:

Many schools offer scholarships. Have you talked to your school about it? If English is your second language there are many available scholarships and programs that offer money to help you study abroad. You could also get financial aid and just borrow money now as long as you pay back later. First figure out where you want to study and see if they have any programs available. Or you can always look for scholarships that fund the area where you want to study.

Scotland and Ireland give free tuition to EU students, although since you said you need a visa, I'm guessing you're not from the EU. Other options are to get a grant from your local authority or a scholarship. If all that fails, you could try get a student loan and work part-time to pay it off, but I'd imagine it would be hard getting a work visa while you're on a study visa.
