How to study for A level history?

Do you need a History GCSE or A Level to study American History at university?

  • I'm thinking about taking American Studies and Law at university (if I go to uni) but I got a D in my history GCSE and I don't take history at a level, so i was wondering does that matter if you want to study american history at university? If someone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

  • Answer:

If you passed the History GCSE with D I'm not quite sure if you will be able to study American Studies and Law at univeristy. A level History seems like a piece of cake compared to the study you wanna do. Of course Law is not History but in order to finish a Law school you have to be able to write really good essays and remember a lot of stuff.
