Which out of these 7 places should i go to for the student exchange program?
-
Okay so i plan on doing the foreign exchange program soon for 10months and i cant seem to choose where to go... but i have got it down to 6 places, United States England Brazil Russia Sweden Ireland Italy I was really hoping on going to somewhere that has a nice and different culture. Everyone says i have great social skills, and i am very intelligent when i want to be, and if i am to do this program then i know that i will do my best. i can adapt to different environments very fast. I love going to new school and learning new methods, a lot of my friend can get along with me because i can change the way i act into and older version or younger when ever i want. please help me!! 2 Other questions: How much would it cost ( approximately?? ) Also could you please give me any additional information that i may need to know!!

Answer:
i am at the moment, also looking at student exchange. from the information i have already, is that if you take a year worth of time over in your country of choice, it would be better to go to a place where they speak 2 languages. that way, you can learn that language. This will help you be more confident when travelling later on, it will also help you get a job if you are wanting to work in media or something. so, i personally am choosing something like italy, germany or spain.

if you really want a social country where you have so much that you can do then the US and England are your best pick for that. the other question (how much it would cost) would be on how and where will you live and how much would you spend on the quality of the stuff your gonna buy (clothes, food, etc)

England, hands down! I've down a study abroad program in London and it was a tremendous experience. It has a divergent culture from the US (which you can discern immediately by the sheer number of pubs!) and has a rich historical background. The density of sites that pertain to vital historical events was almost overwhelming. I don't know what school you plan on doing this with, but my college used this group called Accent (linked down below). The duration of the trip was around one month and it cost approximately $5000 USD including logistics (so about 2000 to live off of a month).

Your profile doesn't say your location, but I'm guessing you are Canadian based on your prior answers. If you're a native Anglophone, I'd advise against the US, England, or Ireland, because although it's a different culture you wouldn't get to learn a new language. I vote for Russia. It has a fascinating culture and history and is quite different from the US or Canada -- and despite its importance on the world stage, there are relatively few Americans or Canadians who've been there or studied there.
