How much is it to study abroad in France?

I would like to study abroad in France for a full year but I'm not sure as to how to get around to it.?

• I am currently a senior in high school and will graduate in June 4th. After receiving my high school diploma i will be attending Grossmont community college. I am planning on completing my first year in college there, and completing my second year of college in France through a study abroad program, however, I have noticed that most of the study abroad opportunities that that college offers are only for approximately 9 weeks and are usually to Spain, not France. How can I study abroad in France for a whole year and have my credits be transferable to a four year university afterwards? I am planning on attending a UC school after junior college.

  You need to see if your community college accepts study abroad credits with programs outside the ones the school specifically offers. Check the websites of study abroad companies such as International Studies Abroad (studiesabroad.com) or CIEE (ciee.org) to look at the France programs they have, what courses they offer, costs, etc. If your (2 year) school has a study abroad office, you should meet with them and see if credits you would earn with one of those study abroad programs would count toward your associates. At any college (4 year or 2 year) there is no guarantee that the credits from a study abroad program will transfer. It all depends on the school, and the courses you take abroad, though finding out which credits will transfer to a four year college that you don't attend yet might not be possible. If studying abroad is something you really want to do, you will make it happen. Although it might mean you have to do an extra semester at a US college, it'll be worth it, I promise :)
