Is England good country to study in?

ITALY vs FRANCE vs ENGLAND which country should I study university in?

  • I need other people's guidance in this because I can't choose between them. They all have equally their advantages and my personal reasons why I want to study there but I really cannot choose...

  • Answer:

You don't say which country you are currently based in as that info would help us, as well as telling us what subjects you wish to study. I gained three of my four degrees from UK universities. There are good and there are bad places to go (as always). My advice would be choose one which has a very high satisfaction rate amongst its graduates. Do not think 'excellence' in academic performance among the teaching staff is any kind of indicator, it is not. It's all good old friends from one university who come as assessors helping out their good old friends who, in turn, will go to their good old friends' universities to assess them. Choose somewhere away from big cities, maybe a campus university, and be sure to check out the accommodation they offer before you sign on the line. All too often it is NOT what they offer in the prospectus. France is a place I have visited many times during my professional life (I am a university professor). Some extraordinarily good colleges in that country though the competition to get into them is world wide and very aggressive. Plus you will need deep pockets as studying in France can be expensive. I worked in Italy for two academic years a few years back on a professorial exchange. Italy is great for the sea, the sun and a good time. Its universities, however, are glorified primary schools and run on bribery and corruption as well as nepotism and incompetence. Just FYI. I did my first Master's degree in Germany. Tip top universities, great facilities, poor teachers who you may see once and once only during a three year course. If I were starting my academic life all over again (and thank God I am not) then I'd be looking at Scandinavia, Australia or Japan.
