What is a National Advanced Placement Scholar?

HELP! Advanced placement programs and exams?

• I live in Eastern Europe, Romania. Unfortunately there are no advanced placement programs and exams here since we already kind of do them in school regardless if we choose or not but anyway, I want to apply to the Ivy League Universities in the U.S and I want to have a well-rounded application. If anyone happens to know if i prepare by myself and have the exam somewhere in Romania except Bucharest (it's really far) or if i can take it online please do tell.. Any useful information is more than welcomed :)

  IF your school/country does not have AP level classes, it is not going to be held against you when you apply. You can not take what is not offered. Taking an AP exam is not going to do anything for you. AP exam scores are not a part of your application. They are for possible college credit only. It is taking the AP class that counts in your application. Don't worry about this. Take what you can at your school. US schools know other countries have a different educational system from ours Your chances of getting in to any Ivy school is slim to none. Yale gets over 20,000 applications and enroll less than 1500 students. Harvard acceptance rate is under 8%. Only a small hand full of international students are accepted each year. You will need to take the SAT www.collegeboard.org Plan on getting 690+ on math, CR and writing for ivy schools. If your goal is to go to school in the US, I highly recommend looking into other schools. There are over 3000 colleges in the US. There are only 8 ivy schools. There are plenty of top notch US colleges that are not ivy schools Also plan on paying over $50,000 per year for tuition and room and board.
