Is it hard to study medicine in Greece?

UK medicine ,foundation year ,access courses?

  • hello ,i am interested in applying for medical schools in UK.I am from Greece and i know for these kind of schools they need A levels...so is it necessary to do A level courses or there is a way that my grades are in some way like the A levels .? For example the top grade here is 20 ...I have 20 in biology 20 in chemistry 20 in physics and 19 in maths is there any way that these grades will count as A levels...? As i believe it would be difficult to go To UK and lose a year or two doing A levels is there any other way? I have heard something about foundations years and access courses..Can you please enlight me? If i want to study medicine i can apply for the foundation year get accepted and then the university will pass to medical school? Is it the same way also for the access courses? Thank You In Advance :)

  • Answer:

Forget foundation courses - they do not lead to medicine. Contact a uni you are interested in directly and ask them what qualifications are needed. COntact the international office.
