Anyone have legit information about studying abroad in college? Any personal experiences?

Hey there Nica. I got my AA at a community college in California where they initiated a travel abroad program. The classes weren't part of a particular curriculum, they fulfilled general education requirements. Our group went to Peru for almost 2 months and while there we studied Philosophy: Logic and Arts: Pre-Columbian Art History. The experience was everything I thought it would be and more. I would do it all over again if I could. Peru was beautiful, the people were kind and eager to communicate, the sites were breath taking and the Inca ruins were absolutely amazing. When I went on to get my BA at a University, they also offered abroad programs but pertained to your major. I don't know of any programs in particular, it depends on your region and college. I hope you get the chance to embellish you passion!
