Exchange student or boarding school?
-
I'm 16 and home schooled in the 9th grade, and have been working towards going to a private boarding school (st Andrews at Delaware) as a relative to an alumni. But my father know's someone who can get me into a student exchange program, and when I asked him (my dad) if going on an exchange student program would hinder my getting into st Andrews, he said yes. So here is my dilemma. Should I work towards attending a ivy league boarding school, and travel after i graduate? OR Should I work towards being eligible for becoming a exchange student and make my own way? BTW, I want to go to England.

Answer:
COME TO ENGLAND! Jks. Exchange wouldnt be too bad, but I suggest you go to the really good baording school instead, as that's what you've been working for.... Do well in your own country, instead of trying it out over here :/ What type of school would you go to if you came to England? Private or State? There's a great difference between the two: Private, you pay and you generally get a better standard of education, or I rephrase: most want to learn, you have good teachers and it's ina good environment. State is still good: you don't pay, but then you aren't guaranteed a safe environment. But that's just extreme things I'm saying.... Personally, I think you shoul work towards attending an ivy league boarding school.

I think you should go on a student exchange programme. Nothing compares to studying overseas -- you get to experience amazing things, meet so many new people and make awesome friends. My experience was on of the greatest I have ever had and, when I think back on it, it is just a blur of enjoyment and happiness. I also went to boarding school for 5 years... That was an experience I would rather not repeat.
