Going to study in a university in the UK.Need your advice?

Im going to University and need advice on whether to study a semester abroad!!?

• I am starting University this year, and have found the perfect course for me to do. (By the way, I'm from UK, and Im going to be 20 when I start uni). I have the option of whether to do a 3 year degree, all in the UK, or take a 4 year degree with a year being spent in America or Canada. Normally, I would go for the 4 year and do the year abroad, but right now im not so sure. Ive been with my boyfriend for over a year, and i love him so much, that I know ill miss him loads if i go abroad. Spending 2 weeks away from each other was bad enough when he went to barbados. But at the same time, going abroad is an amazing opportunity for me. And I have to decide in just a few weeks, as I have to choose which degree to take. When I spoke to my bf about it, he wouldnt even take my point into consideration and instead just said that he doesnt want me to go. Its not that hes being possessive, its just that we miss each other when we're not together. If i wasnt with him, i know for sure that I would take the year abroad so that its an experience I dont miss out on. But at the same time, can I leave him? I know that I cant get an answer on here, but im just looking for a bit advice on what you think or what you would do. Any advice would be amazing. xoxo

  If your love can't survive being apart a year, it isn't worth it. I know plenty of couples that have survived time abroad. I studied abroad and haven't regretted it. It was tough to be apart from my now-husband, but it made us appreciate each other more. If you don't go abroad now, you never will.
