What is Cambridge Like?

What is it like to Study at the University of Cambridge?

  • For your information I'm in the 10th grade interested in studying pre-med at the University of Cambridge and I just want to know whether it'll be extremely hard, will the schedule fit your time, are classes in length. It doesn't necessarily have to be pre-med, any type of science is welcomed to answer but those who does answer must be a student from the University of Cambridge. Thank you!

  • Answer:

There's no pre-med in Cambridge only Medicine. I'm not a student, but I've been to several Oxbridge Seminar type events, and spoken to the medical students. Everything revolves around your schedule at uni, they have a lot more lectures than say a person who does a humanities course. It's about trying to fit your time around the lectures. Class lengths vary depending on what you're studying. They said it was hard for the first few months to manage their time, but after a while they got used to it. The workload decreased as time went on but the work was harder. You have to learn not to procrastinate, so when you're working, you work hard. When you're having fun, you party hard.
