Has anyone else ever lived in Austria before?

  • I will be a foreign exchange student in Austria next year and I was wondering if anyone else has and what it is like?If you could tell me some things that differed between Austria and the US and things about it.Basically did you like it?

    I can tell you that I like it very much. I study in vienna but I´m in istanbul for an exchange program right now. I don´t knw, where you´ll be going, but vienna is a very beautiful and international city, with lots of cultural and artistic possibilities to offer. the people, especially the younger generation speaks mostly english and I think, most of the students are very helpful to foreigners. to your 3rd question regarding the differences between austria and the US: I think there are much more differences than similarities, and that´s what makes it so interesting to explore it! hope you´ve got a good time, if you need any further help: [email protected]

Sure, lived in Salzburg for 6 years. Went to school there too. And yes, very different from the USA The food is much better and so is the skiing. Very cultural (music etc.) Speaking German a definite plus!!! ;-)
