Hi I am student in a university in UK, I enrolled in 2010 and my student visa expires in 2013, duration of my is 2 years where as my visa is 4 three years in that case i asked my university if i can take a gap year and gain some work experience and come back in 2012.( From 2010 -2011 i studied in university and in 2011 i decide to take a gap year and gain some work experience for the same thing my university granted me a letter saying the same. As now i am in India i wanted to know if my visa is still valid because after reading some articles in google, i found one need to apply for a new visa but my case is completely different please help whom to ask

Answer:
You will need a new VISA unless the current VISA is still in date. VISA's don't take gap years.
