What is the best foreign exchange program?

What do you think about AFS foreign exchange program?

• I'm thinking of applying to the AFS foreign exchange student program for high school in Spain. Does anyone that has either been on a program from AFS or know anything about it? It looks great but I'm just wondering what other people thought about it. THANKS:)

  Hi there! I went abroad with AFS in high school to Argentina and LOVED IT. I had an incredible family who was very hospitable and treated me like their own daughter. I made amazing friends and learned a lot about myself and the world. You should definitely go abroad!! I would also highly recommend AFS. They are the oldest study abroad organization and are really there to support you. Plus, I made a ton of friends through AFS and I've met a lot of people since going abroad who are AFS returnees too. And to give a different perspective, I definitely had hard times with my host family but that is probably because we come from very different places and live under very different cultural standards. However, I found that if we worked hard to understand each other and communicate about these cultural differences everything would work out. They saw me at my best and my worst and I them, and just like family here, they loved me despite that! Plus you get to become fluent in a second language! So awesome! Good luck!
