What is a good culinary summer program in France or Italy?

I need information about the People to People Program?

• I just got a letter inviting me to go to a People to People program that is traveling to France, Italy, and Greece in the Summer of 2010. There a quite a few things that I need to be made clear. 1. Is it a scam? Or is it not. Because I have heard so many mixed reviews that some people enjoyed it and some people wasted their money...so I'm quite confused. 2. If its not a scam, is it a lot of fun? Is it worth my time? Because I reeeeaaaallllyy want to go but I dont wan't my parents to spend a lot of money on something that wasn't worth my time. 3. About how much do you think the cost is? I heard that It was around 6,000 to 8,000 dollars. People said that it was expensive, so what is included in the cost? 4. What are the hotels like that you stay in? 5. How did I get invited? I have never even heard of this program and yet they invited me to come to their informational meeting. I'm quite flattered but did everyone in my high school get this letter or did someone recommend me? 6. How is the health and safety? Does the program supervise the children well? Would I be well taken care of if something goes wrong? 7. And last but definitly not least, IS THIS PROGRAM A SCAM??? Sorry for all the capital letters but I really wanna attend this program but so many different people have given so many different seviews on this program. So can someone please tell me the truth? Is this program a waste of money or not? (And I know I reapeated this question, but I just really want to know lol) Thank you so much for all who answers I really appreciate it. :)
