Does anyone know anything about the Study Abroad Program in Italy?

  • Right now, I am only a Freshman in High School, but I have always had a passion for the Italian culture/language and would love to study abroad there when I get into college. Does anyone know anything about Italy's Study Abroad Program? If you do, what's it like? Is it worth trying? If you already tried a Study Abroad Program in Italy, would you go again if you had a chance? Do you know anyone who tried a Study Abroad Program in Italy? If so, what were their thoughts? Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

    I was never on a student exchange programme to Italy but, I was a visiting exchange professor to a university in Italy for a year. Advantages - nice weather, good food, nice looking, well-dressed (though very remote and somewhat aloof) people. Disadvantages - one of the weakest and most corrupt education systems in the world, disinterested and typically absent lecturers, poor educational resources, 15th century mentality, riddled with apathy.
