When is the best time to study abroad in college?

If I go to college in Australia, can I only study full time for being a foreigner?

I'd like to study part time and get a part time job as well, so that I could afford my expenses while studying there. But I heard that foreigners can't study part time in Australia only full time. Is that true? Can I find a part time job that would pay me enough to be able to pay for the whole course? *Sorry about my English

    Yes, international students are not allowed to study part-time. This is the case in most countries. No, part time jobs do not pay anywhere near that much. On a student visa you are permitted to work legally for 20 hours per week. You might make enough for living costs and books etc but not tuition fees.

A student visa is only given on the provision that you study FT. You can still work PT if needed (20 hours) but by doing so you will have little time to have fun. You will not be able to pay for the course even if you work FT in a normal job - the 20 hours PT work is only supposed to "help" with expenses and more realistically will give you the pocket money the Australian students have to support the weekend lifestyle. You will NEVER be able to pay living expenses and university fees by working PT. Only expect to earn 60% of your living expenses through working here - you will need to have alot of $$ before you start to think about studying here.
