TOEFL or IELTS...........which is better?

• heyy guys....m planning to continue my higher studies in canada... so for getting canada visa....i need to do an english test like toefl or ielts... but i dunno which is widely acepted in canada.. guyzz plz help me out...... plz let me no wat is widely accepted in caanda ...... thnxx in advance :) :)

  They're both widely accepted, it actually depends more on the individual institution: those with a stronger American influence may favour TOEFL a bit more, and those with a stronger British influence may be biased towards IELTS, yet 90% of them accept either one of them. The real question, IMO, is: for the speaking section, do you prefer talking to a mic (TOEFL) or talking face to face to an examiner (IELTS)? It's subjective: some people get very nervous with personal interaction and prefer a mic, others don't like the mic and prefer a human conversation. But that's the main (although not by any means the only) difference.
