What privileges will i get if i study engineering in France?

Which country is better to study abroad for a semester: Australia or France?

  • I'm an industrial engineering student and I want to get in an interchange, I have considered 2 options: Australia or France. Which one is better? (Considering the cost of living).

  • Answer:

Well, would you rather hang out with Australian people with their cool accents or with dirty French people that don't like you, smell bad, and often don't shave? It's your choice...

i donot know about france but i'm guessing europe would be equally expensive if not more. Australia can be very expensive as a student since they have 20 hr work limitations on overseas students. There student discount on train tickets but it's only for australian residents. An overseas student has to shell out for the full ticket. Rents are extremely high in sydney so sharing a house is the only option. It's really hard to make ends meet. Australia is a beautiful country and the experience is well worth the trip. Rascism is a big problem in Australia, though policies are in place to deter it still the average australian can be very rascist especially if you are not white! let's face it they had a "White Only" immigration policy until 1977 which is not that long ago. Crikey! did i say too much about the red necks?

It really depends upon you and what you want to do. Do you speak French? That is also something to consider. Although most Europeans speak English, they do appreciate it when one takes the effort to speak to them in their native tongue. In my opinion, they are both beautiful, and offer wonderful opportunities. Hard decision, but fortunately it is a win/win.

Why would you even consider France????? If you're just thinking about the relative closeness of Amsterdam I can understand, but come on!!!!

Unless you speak French, go to Australia.

I am fairly sure Australia's cost of living is better than France but this could also be subject to which city you are planning to live in. Consider what other issues are important to you like language and if there are any additional benefits of studing in one country over another.
