TOEFL or SATs? Help!!?

what i know about studyin abroad is dat SAT is the main exam...bt u hav to giv n clear ur TOEFL too...toefl is jst fr testin ur english language skills...u hav to giv both the exams n clear both of them if u wanna go out...toefl is to b cleared not only fr sat bt also for post grad courses to study abroad...i hope it helped!!!

it depends on the college you are applying.....contact your college's admissions office to find out what scores they need...some accept just sat...or toefl or some colleges need both... all the best...god bless :)

SAT = Scholastic Aptitude Test - predicts potential for success in college (ACT is similar & is required by some schools instead of SAT) TOEFL = Test of English as a Foreign Language (IELTS is another English-language test) BOTH of these - scholastic apptitude & English language proficiency - are required because they test different things. You need to check the websites of the schools you are interested in applying to & see which of these exams are required. There are fees for these exams, and you list the schools you are applying to so the testing organizations can send your scores to the schools. ACT is required by few schools, more commonly in the US midwest, while the vast majority require SAT. American schools are more likely to require TOEFL for English proficiency testing, while IELTS is more commonly required in UK.

Hie...i am also in 12th dis year...i did a lot of research and foung that for study in US or UK we have to give SAT main exam (in most colleges) and SAT subject tests in other colleges. For the US You must take both the SAT and TOEFL You need to take the SAT early and have your results back before you apply to colleges. You would apply late this fall to start school fall 2013.

both r different but equally important. though SAT is not necessary to study in the uk but it is compulsory to study in the usa.

Well I am doing SAT too. You need to give both TOEFL and SAT if you want to get admitted as both count in your application.
