Are online colleges good? Also if you finish the courses is the degree worth something?
-
Does anyone know of any good online colleges
-
Answer:
It has been said that the "distance learning" student only learns how to be distant from any decent learning. The alleged "graduate of an online program may have cheated by hiring an impostor to take the courses. As a result ANY online degree is considered questionalbe-even if from a legit college. Employers often automatically reject job applicants listing ANY online degree or ANY for-profit school. See RipOffReport.com for reviews of schools to avoid. There is a growing trend for well respected colleges to code their degrees and transcripts to indicate whether the program was online, blended, or actual classroom based. Employers prefer to see actual classroom attendance for obvious reasons. No online program can be as good as the learning experience and personal interaction of actual classroom attendance. Attend college in person-You'll be glad you did!

i guess u mean distance learning colleges such as the open university in the UK. And i think the US has an equivalent. They aren't QUITE as respected as regular uni's but they do show you have commitment to study and good organisational skills so some employers might even pick you over a regular uni student. However there is literally no human interaction, you just study on your own. Which makes it a very bad desicion for someone under 25, unless they're a single mum or something. You'd be bored senseless. Yeah, they're known as 'distance learning universities', for future reference. Think hard if you could do 3 years of it though.
