I'm an English college student wanting to study in America for a psychology degree. HELP.?
-
I've lived in Britain all my life. However recently, I decided I want to go to America to pursue a degree and career in psychology. I want to know, is it possible? In terms of grades, requirements, financial help etc? I haven't the faintest idea where to start, but I know this is what I want for certain. Is anyone willing to help me with the basics? Thanks.

Answer:
The basics are: 1) You must apply to several schools in the US individually. The information on how to do this is on their websites. You will need your transcripts and take the SAT. 2) Once you are accepted you apply to the US government for a student visa 3) You must prove to the US government that you have enough money in the bank for one year of tuition and living expenses before they will grant the visa. At least $30,000 is necessary 4) There is a glut of psychology students in the US. You will not get any financial help as this is an area of no need for graduates.

You can go on to any US school's web site to see their requirements, how to apply, an online application (plan on $50-$100 fee) and tuition and room and board. costs. try www.a2zcolleges.com click on majors at the top. fyi- California state schools have very low international student populations.
