Where to Study biotechnology?

I study biotechnology at the undergraduate level in India. I wanna do my postgrad in Molecular Biology in U.S?

• I study biotechnology at the undergraduate level in India. I’m interested in doing a Graduate Program in Molecular Biology in the U.S. I understand from the university websites that I should have completed an equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree and that I am also required to do the GRE-general and subject tests to be considered for admission into this course. However my course here in India is only a three-year program and I learn that the U.S undergraduate program consists of four years. Therefore am I ineligible to be considered for admission? What could I do to be considered for admission to this program? Is there any foundation course, which I could do? Here in India, I could do a B.Sc honors program, which will consist of an extra year or alternatively I could do a postgraduate diploma in Biotechniques alongside my present degree, which is also a one-year program, but will that be considered?

  There are two alternatives for you: 1. Do a post graduate ie MSc from India.Some universities will even accept 1st year MSc pass for meeting their requirement of 16 years under graduation.Others will even accept a one year Diploma from a recognized university for meeting this deficiency. You will be required to take GRE and TOEFL for admission to a graduate program. 2. You can go as a transfer student after doing your Indian B.Sc. You will be admitted to a undergraduate program by an American university and will need to study for approximately 18-24 months for completing American Under graduation. With this option you need to take TOEFL only. However if you want to further study after completion of your Under graduation you will be required to take GRE.
