I live in England and want to go to university in America, California, How do I go about doing this?

I'm 15 and I am also planning to go to America to study for University, but at the moment its harder to do that so what I was adviced was that it was best if I started going to a British university, and then get transferred for my final year or so to an American university because then it would look good when I'm looking for a job to say I went to a university both in the UK and the States :) xxx
