Is studying in Malaysia safe?

  • We all know the crime rate in Malaysia is quite high and its enough to scare a future international student like me. But still, we all wanna pursue quality knowledge that suit our budget, right? I just wanna get a handful of votes on whether Malaysia (KL-Selangor) is a safe place for female students, esp the ones going there alone. =S Thanks.

    Hi , the question is similar to "Is Central Park, New York safe?" Yes, the crime rate in Malaysia is high. And depend on where is the area you stay. I would say it is still safe. As a person who live hear in Kuala Lumpur for the past 13-15 years. Worked for 3 years in Singapore and Travel to Indonesia frequently . I do encoutered such incident. But darling, you need to be street smart in every country. I will recommend you to read this website for tips on safety in Malaysia
