• Well, I heard about this program from my aunt, and I am VERY interested in it. I have always loved to travel, and it seems like a great expirience. But I have a few questions: How do you become a Student Ambassador? I "nominated" myself online, but where do I go from there? Will they send me a letter for sure, do I just reserve a place at a meeting, what do I need to do this? (letters, interview, ect.) How long are the trips? (and which places do they go to?) Is it worth the money?

  Well first off, congratulations to taking the first step. :) If you nominated yourself online, you can rest assure that they will return to you as soon as possible. I got nominated by the school counselor, but they will probably ask you for things about you, such as school grades. Then they will interview you. All of this they will probably do themselves, no paperwork for now. If you start to get impatient, you can call them. I've called them multiple times, they are EXTREMELY friendly. Plus, you don't have to go through the whole 'Press 1 to make payments' thing. As soon as you call, a real person picks up. Some trips vary. I'm going to Harvard University in Massachusettes for about 10 days. My friend is going to Japan for a couple weeks. They offer many places, recent things include: China, London, and other universities within the United States. Whether or not it's worth the money depends on really who you ask. It gives you college credits if you do the work, but I can say with despair that it is truly pricey. My program was about $2,500. This includes the hotel, the food, and the program itself. They will not play for airlines and you have to bring additional spending money for souveneirs and whatnot.
