    1) I am unsure of where you are from, but it seems to be Venezuela (???). In winter Canberra is very cold and can reach minus 6 degrees Centigrade. In Summer it can reach 40 degrees Centigrade. 2) Prices in Canberra are expensive compared with many other parts of Australia. Renting a home is extremely expensive while buying a home would be moderately expensive, and some distance from the city centre. 3) Studying at ANU will be expensive as you are a migrant and therefore you will have to pay the full price of the course. Medicine, like Law, is one of the most expensive courses. As for applying, -- I suggest that you apply after you arrive, preferably about September/October. You do not say how old you are, so you may be able to apply directly to the university or you may have to apply through the local ACT Curriculum department. I suggest you talk with the university first. You would need copies of your educational certificates plus do a test in English. You may have to improve your English first, which can be done through either the "Migrant Education Service" or through the university. 4) It is difficult to move around Canberra without a car. There are a number of bus services but they do not cover the whole area. Taxis are expensive. 5) I am unsure of the cost of a bus ticket between Canberra and Sydney, but between Canberra and Melbourne it is about $A100 return for an adult. The distance between Canberra and Melbourne is 660 km and between Sydney and Canberra 288 km.
