How come twins that have been adopted by different families its not enough to information to study th IQ´s her?

  • Hey peopçe, Im doing a job on IQ and I´m kind of stuck with a doubt, it would be cool if someone could help me: How come twins that have been adopted by different families its not enough to information to study th IQ´s heritability!

  • Answer:

because they grow up in different environments, learn different things, and have different oprrotunities... im no researcher but i would say the education a child receives is more important than the mother's IQ PS think of geniuses who have descended from much less...

Because IQ is only 60% heritable (based on the genes of mother AND father) with the other 40% influenced by environment factors, (like whether they go to school, how much money the adoptive parents make or what the mother ate drank and smoked while pregnant, for example).
