Answer:
The education system in the US begins with public or private schools grades K (kindergarten) through 12. K - 6 is elementary school, ages 5 - 12. 7 + 8 is junior high school, ages 12 - 14. 9 - 12 is high school, ages 14 - 18. Some high schools are vocational/technical high schools. These concentrate less on academics and more on career preparation for such fields as plumbing, secretarial/office management work, electrical work, hair dressing/salon management, welding etc. Some colleges are two-year and lead to an associate degree or professional certificate. "Community Colleges" are examples of these. Many students go to these schools and transfer their credit to a four-year university where they finish their bachelor's degree. The benefits of this is that these schools are almost always much, much less expensive per year than 4-year universities. Also, they are largely attended by students who live at home and commute to class. They save a lot of money that way. I will leave of my description of the American school system there, you can ask more questions later. I know nothing about the field of hospitality but do know where you can get the information if your browser doesn't balk at US sites! Use Google. Search "hospitality programs United States" and you should get several hits. I cannot vouch for whether this is a good but here is one of many I found using Google: http://www.schoolsintheusa.com/CulinaryTravelandHospitalitySchoolRankings.cfm When you ask more questions make sure you use no words pertaining to loans, credit, financing, or money. There are scammers who put those words in the Yahoo search to find questions to post their spam/scams to. Never respond to any of them at all. None of them are reputable lenders and many are phishing for personal information they will use later to steal your identity or to harass you.
