What are the best eateries in Bangalore?

Which local eateries should I surely try out on my first trip to Bangalore?

  • I am coming from the US and will be there for a few days. I wanted to try specific places to eat that are popular there for specific foods. Ambience really doesn't matter (although that's always good) but it's the food that I wanted to focus on. I'd like to try some good biryani, idlis/dosas, some indian-chinese food, and also good veg/non-veg places. Kindly recommend....thank you so much!

I see people telling you what to eat than ..where to eat..From your question looks like you already know what to eat...you just need to know where to eat. You could try some real good south indian food at Windsor Manor Dakshin (Resturant name). You get good ambience as well as food. If you don't mind trying some regular joints where you get good authentic Indian food try adigas. Its a good place , very clean and hygenic. You can ask your cab driver to take you to adigas, malleshwaram. Its a fairly new place with lots of options. But again, this place could be little crowded....but its the best option to eat regular tasty Indian food with no hype. I have lived in the USA/UK and China for some time...So I do understand what could be comfortable for you...So go ahead and let me know for sure if you enjoyed your food there.....give me a shout if you need additional info :) Cheers

I wish I could give you specific directions, but I would highly recommend Tandoori's. We were driven there and I am unfamiliar with the area.. but we had one of the best meals there!

porotta with chicken curry masala dosa chapathi or puri with curry gulab jamun fried rice I live in U.S too, but i was born in India. So a word of advice, be careful some food might be very spicy for you since you aren't used to very spicy stuff. Have a great journey
