Do you have a Hyundai?

Do you think Hyundai is a great car company ?

  • In my opinion, i say that they came a long way from the start and beginning of they're industrail hard laboring stuff. I know not many people likes hyundai because of they're history and because of that, that makes some individual things Hyundai is a really bad car company period. But if you look at them carefully now, don't you see that they are trying to compete with some cars that are names that you expect to be good? Like the Hyundai Sonata, its competitor is the Camery, and Accord and some other ones but you expect a Camery and Accord to be good but now they seem to be having some troublesome because of the Sonata. A Sonata gives you a lot for paying less ( which is basically what hyundai is doing), you'll get a lot of power and still save a lot of gas, especially from a small engine! Isn't that crazy?? And the Genesis Coupe, its one the surprising cars that practically not many people would expect to be really nice and a complete full of surprise. Its body is very well made and same goes for the interior. Its has different models of the Genesis Coupe which is nice and for some car that gives a lot of power, it saves a lot of gas too. Just look at the 370Z, its a great car to drift and go crazy but mostly everyone would have to be stuck in traffic in that car due to the fact that the clutch is heavy ( a lot of complaints have been going around about that) 370Z = Good for racing and bad for everyday use for traffic I don't know about you guys but I say that Hyundai is on top with most of the best car companies now and they are becoming one of the best car companies now in my views. What do you think???

  • Answer:

I agree, the Hyundai Sonata is the best selling car in America and Hyundai sales have grown 15-20% each year during the 2000's despite the recession when other brands sales dropped upto 40%. The Genesis is a near masterpiece as both a sedan and coupe. While the 3.8 Genesis Coupe isn't quite as fast as the 370Z, you can have a track model Genesis coupe for the same price as a base 370. You definitely get value with a Hyundai that no other brand can claim, which explains why suddenly they are the worlds 4th best selling brand. Hyundai seems to be the current leader in safety and fuel effecient mass market cars. The only thing they don't seem to offer is a line of trucks, though it seems only a matter of time before they enter the profitable truck market.

Really, Hyundai is a great car company, they have a variety of cars, vans, etc, for all the purpose ,and all kind of people, all members in my family drive and have a Hyundai

Yes, I think Hyundai is a great car company; all of my immediate family drives a Hyundai, except for my sister. My aunt and uncle and grandmother also drive a Hyundai

Absolutely. They have really come a long way. A decade ago, they made nothing but lemons. Now, I love the Santa Fe and the Tucson. They just redesigned the Sonata, and it looks cool. As well as entering the luxury market by releasing the Equus and Genesis, Hyundai is heading in a really good direction.

I think Hyundai is just as good if not better than it's competition and they may be the most progressive companies around. Always moving and contently improving. Since I'm a little bored I'm going to pick on Richard Ramirez's answer a little. " i've seen way too many people have newer Hyundais blow head gaskets and transmissions. i don't know whether they've fixed these issues or not, but i'd rather buy something like a Honda or Subaru considering my experience with them." -R.R. Well I haven't seen any information of large order pertaining to recent Hyundai head gasket and transmission problems. Honda on the other hand.......http://www.hondaproblems.com/Civic/ Subaru doesn't have a dedicated website like Honda but they are far from perfect.....http://www.cars101.com/recalls.html I love it when somebody tries to throw stones from a glass house. Everything else R.R. said is basically opinion and not really worth the effort. Just had to weed out the BS.

If you acknowledge that the Japanese cars are giving a run for their money anywhere else in the world, then Hyundai is not far off! They have the same fire in the belly that Japanese had. They have a fierce competitive spirit and they bench mark Japanese cars and industry! Technology is procurable nowadays easily! No manufacturer is going to suffer for want of it! So what is holding them if at all is their own attitude to excel and a troubled history with everyday struggle to cope with their Northern neighbors. They are not on top, but they can!

i'm french and in europe, at least in france, every car maker was laughing at te when they arrived on the french market in the mid 1990s... now seems like they 're swallowing back their sarcasms since hyndai can put put some of its lodels in the top ten selling... i don't really know about hyundai's position in korea , asia , america, africa but they're a worldwide company... which is not the case of renault!

they've come a long way from shoving Mitsubishi engines into rebadged Ford Pintos(look up the original Hyundai Pony), but i just haven't seen anything worth buying from them at all lately considering the other options available. i've seen way too many people have newer Hyundais blow head gaskets and transmissions. i don't know whether they've fixed these issues or not, but i'd rather buy something like a Honda or Subaru considering my experience with them. as for the Genesis, making sacrifices(like comfort in traffic) is part of buying a performance car. there's a reason why the Genesis handles like complete garbage and isn't competitive to cars like the Z, the WRX STI, or the Lancer Evo. honestly, Hyundai has never built a 300hp engine before, and i wouldn't be surprised if these cars had a number of issues once they hit higher mileage. companies like Nissan have been building performance cars for decades, and it shows in their handling(not just the straight line speed, even a Mustang can pull that off).
