How do I transfer agriculture income from India to USA?
-
I have agriculture income in India and accumulated from last 10 years. Money is in standard saving account in India.I am US citizen (OCI) and would like to get the money into USA? Couple of questions- 1)I understand agriculture income is tax free but what all papers do I need to produce to IRS that tax is paid in India 2)How can convert that rupee into US dollar? Can I ask my bank to transfer that money to NRE/NRO account?

Answer:
The best possible advice on this can come only from your Bank who also deal in foreign exchange. Please contact them. Conversion into US dollar and transferring money to US are no longer problems; the exchange control laws of India have been liberalised since 1992, step by step.
