    In net banking and phone banking some facilities are free and some are chargeble. ie paying insurance premium, fund transfered to brokers , credit card payment of same bank, account balance query are free of cost. you have to take xtra facility of third party transfers to make payment to others this is chargeable. you can start your net banking it is free. after that the services which are chargeable is your choice to use it or not.

Check with your banker in writing and ask for full details regarding charges. Many banks declare that internet bankind and mobile banking service is free. Only a part of it is free and the rest is chargeable. Take care before availing all these facilities. But compared to MNC banks, SBI is a gem. Though, I do not transact with SBI.

I can pay taxes and buy rail tickets by SBI e banking but how do I transfer fund to third party having a SBI a/c. Charge or no charge SBI e banking has lot many restrictions
