Form 16 not given by employer?

Combining 2 Form 16 and including HRA in one of It?

  • Hi, I have worked with 2 employers in FY 2010-11. First Employer Apr 10 to Aug 10 for which i have not declared anything like HRA hence in their Form 16 they have not given me any tax exemption. Now i want claim that HRA for 6 Months as i have the rent agreement with me. Second Employer Sep 10 to Mar 11 have given me deduction on pro-rated basis of remaining 6 months only. So How do i declared the HRA for First 6 months of FY 2010-11 as its not mentioned in the Form 16?? How do i file the return? Do i need to send the rent agreement to the income tax department?

    calculate the same with the correct information irrespective of Form-16 and file your return with the help of an accountant or CA. Tulsi
