SAS stands for Subordinate Accounts Service or Subordinate Accountants Service. To compete in this examination, one has be an employee of the Indian Audit Department or the Indian Central Accounts Service. If you are alrleady in the employ of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India or any one of the Accountants General in India, then, you can compete. Otherwise not. But, there are other equivalent examinations which can secure you a job in the field of Public accountanting in India. Try one of them.
