For claiming home-loan tax benefits, you have to be the owner of the house. How can you rent your own house to your own-self??? Since you are the joint owner of the house with your wife, which portion of the house does she own & which portion do you own??????? Which portion of the house will your wife rent it to you????????? Does it make any sense to you? How far will you go to avoid some tax? HMT
