How could someone don't find their own race attractive?

  • I don't understand how you could not find your own race to be attractive. I find it odd that you could find about a million things that you will find another race attractive but you can't think of the reason why you don't find your own race attractive. How could someone don't find their own race attractive?

    The only people that don't find their own race attractive are people that feel the features they share with that race, isn't attractive. That is another way to say that person dislikes their own features aka, self haters Usually these people have mental issues, or they are people that are scorned by people of their same sex, therefore they place(all personalities, not looks) of people of their same race as being like the person that scorned them<<still a form of mental damage

I don't know. I find my race very attractive.

It's not all that hard to explain. When Europeans colonized the world, they made themselves they standard of beauty in every country the conquered India, for example, was colonized by the British and today, despite being an independent nation, indias have rampant levels of colorism in thier communities, with many openly aspiring to look white through skin lightening creams etc almost all of Asia and Latin America glorify white features: light skin, straight hair, etc. Japanese people don't even depict themselves in thier childrens cartoons, but whites instead

It's personal choice, the human race has been around different ethnics for over 200 years now, and, we are starting to be more liberally minded about being with each other. There are huge amount of mixed race kids in Britain! Not that that is a bad thing. Although, I'm sure he/she finds SOMEONE attractive of their own race, just not anyone they know. You shouldn't be so closed minded.

I have no idea at all. I'm attracted to all kinds of different women and I for one find it odd how anyone couldn't find their own race attractive. Black women especially are so unique and they have all kinds of diversity among them and that in its own right allows them to be beautiful. I mean it's fine to have preferences but to say that there's nothing attractive about one's race is really just self hatred

personal choice? Like I said, personal choice. They know they are black. they aren't sell outs. Okay, I think people when the time of their birth knows their race and appreciate it. Why people care about their likes and dislikes. It's their life. (in my opinion)

Seems kind of extreme and stupid, but perhaps they hate their parents and don't want a significant other who reminds them of they way they look. Or maybe they've been stereotyped and put down so much that they hate themselves. Sad.
