Dating an Asian and I'm black?

Im dating a girl who is black (I'm white) and my friends are making a big deal out of it?

  • First off she is a beautiful girl...tall and slender and athletic...and the most amazing smile. Her personality lights up the room. My friends keep saying stuff like "Dude I can't believe u got a hot black girl" or "What is she like in bed" and "She will probably leave u 4 a black guy"...yea they are joking but its really annoying. Technically we arent even together yet cuz I havent worked up the courage 2 really make it official but we like each other...she never talks about it, it almost seems like she isnt aware of our skin color...but their comments make me wonder if I want to put her through all that comes with being in an interracial relationship... any advice?

    White guys take a lot of heat for dating a Black girl (personal experience). All I can say is you can either explain to them how you hate them making those comments or learn to ignore it. You're going to take a lot of crap for it, so I hope you're prepared to handle it. If so, make it official. At the end of the day, you're just two individuals who are crazy about each other.

Your friends sound like jerks. Tell them to cut it out, that you're not cool with them commenting on her race. If they're your real friends they'll stop bringing it up.

I would suggest discussing it with her... lay out all your concerns about race and discuss it with each other.
