How can we help the victims of the earthquakes?

Can compensation to the victims (Forgotten Australians) help improve child welfare?

  • In Australia criminals are usually expected to pay for their crimes in order to deter the criminals from repeating their actions.... and yet Australia allowed these crimes to vulnerable children to go on... and as we often see in the media, the neglect, abuse & child fatalities still continues in child "welfare" today... (in current inquiries, the "carers" are blaming this solely on lack of money!) I think Australia needs to compensate the Forgotten Australians, Stolen generation & child migrants today for their suffering, to help prevent this ever happening to children again in the future!! To also ensure that this country cares more for vulnerable children in the future & stop the ignorance and false stigmas in Australian society (much of the public looks down at the victims through misconceptions fed from the "carers" and their employers) Also to help the victims to heal, (which can be costly when most are on disability pensions.) Currently redress systems only exists for some (NSW/VIC NO redress at all!) and all are vastly different from state to state, dividing, segregating and discriminating the victims further... Its time to look at the mistakes, pay for the mistakes, and not repeat them, what do others out there think??

  • Answer:

Aren't Australians all descended from criminals? Maybe it's in the dna. Idk though. I like Australia.
