Why are people on my TV greenish?

Why do people believe EVERYTHING see about black people on tv?

  • we all don't act " ghetto"..."hood" . have bad attitudes , wear weaves down to their butts. on welfare ... the ones you see on tv are just trying to get paid. they want the money and the fame. as for me being black i don't like it and people always assuming and generalizing black people for what they seen on tv . i don't generalizing other races i guess its because i was raised in a "mixed" family with people of all races and friends from different cultures. i like to learn about other cultures and if i wanna know something i ask BEFORE i judge or assume.

  • Answer:

Maybe its time we introduced a real black t.v network that depicts us for who we are, and not for what were known for!!!!

Only stupid people believe EVERYTHING they see about black people on TV. Who cares what stupid people believe? They will never get anywhere where their opinion matters, anyway.

The majority outweigh the minority. Majority of people are stupid and are controlled by the media. Very few people think for themselves.

becasue some people have never met a black and dome distance themselves away from us. so they beleive whatever they hear etc

what's up

Only moronic, narrow-minded people base their mindset on the media.

Well, you have some that have probably never seen or met a black person in real life and they are prone to believe the way the entertainment industry portrays us, then you have some that know better and still choose to believe the negative rather than the positive. Then you have that small minority of people who characterize the individual and not the whole group based on stereotypes. There are some good people out there that realize these images don't apply to an entire group of people. Edit - Rubber J, "Good Times" was one of the exceptions. We are not all rich and all of us can't afford to live in the suburbs. If you must stereotype poor blacks from the ghetto, I have no problem being stereotyped as the family in "Good Times". They worked hard and were honest. Their kids made mistakes but the parents corrected them quickly, and they were very focused on bettering themselves through education. It is not an insult in my book, to be stereotyped as being like the family in "Good Times". I would take that as a compliment. Also remember, they did make it out of the ghetto in the end.

Only a true idiot would believe such an illogical concept as that. As if all 40 million of us are alike in all aspects. The media is only trying to make money, disregarding the expense of another race of people.

Mr. 3.14™

Same reason why people believe what the media portrays about every other group. People generally enjoy jumping on the gossip train... And the media is the conductor.

GODDESS VANETTE

they are ignorant and love to hate on people im half spanish and half black and I see it also even with the latino community, white america loves to stereotype people for their own amusement.

brite star

People get their stereotypes from television but could care less to actually go to different communities to see how people act. If they did they wouldn't believe that bs from tv.
