Please do not generalise south Indians as one group. Keralites are the most succesful people in India (outside kerala) and abroad, because they learn the other language, mix up with local people and dont show their superiority due to culture. Tamils hate Keralites more than they hate north Indians. They are surely full of superiority complex, false pride and groupism. They only respect their culture and their people and reject everything which is non-tamil.

The Difference between NIS and SIS. *NIS take risk in investing in business,shares etc a part of their income. *SIS invest in savings,no guts to take risk. *NIS are more confident to face anything in practical life. *SIS are calculative and careful,but less confident to rise to the occasion. *NIS expect too much from SIS when they come to South,like they should speak to them in Hindi. *SIS learn some basic Hindi words to manage in North. *NIS think that the whole Indian History happened only in North,without knowing that SIS are more ancient. *SIS take interest in NI history too.SI magazines come out with many articles on North. ^NIS think SIS means only Cinema craze,temples for actors,politics.They ridiculed when MGR became CM of Tamil Nadu.But now they elect actors as MPs. *SIS watch Hindi movies and sing Hindi songs without knowing Hindi. *NIS never name their children after SI (late) leaders' names. "SIS name their children after Gandhi,Nehru,Indra Gandhi,Rahul,Subash Chandrabose,Vivekanand etc: *NIS are more demanding in South. *SIS are polite in North. *Places like New Delhi NIS prefer SIS tenants to let out their houses,because SIS are prompt in paying the rent and house keeping compared to other NIS. *Brain and Beauty concept is a wrong one. Both are brainy. Beauty also applies to both.Only complexion,fair and dark,matter. There are considerable fair looking SIS in South and considerable dark NIS in North.

We can not generalise. Normally people from Kerala and Andhara are very cooperative and flexible. Most of tamils have such narrow minded behaviour and are ready to attack north Indians (example Muthu S above me ) All the 3 questions quoted by shivam are from tamils only. Shivam was brutally attacked by a tamil lobby after he reached TOP in Religion and Spirituality. This thinking was put into their mind by Britishers in the name of Arya Invasion myth and many tamils think they are the most intelligent and most spiritual persons. OK let them think what ever they want. But they should not make fun of north indians on mythical grounds. If we write something against their wishes, this group of 5/6 tamils will jump on us and report and delete our answers. What a shame !!

Both sides consider themselves to be superior . Like you mentioned , most people see NIs as physically better and SIs as mentally better . Also, like another answerer mentioned , the cultures and priorities are almost completely different . Personally , I think each side is afraid of being snubbed by the other side , which is why they directly go for insults . Maybe all they need is a little understanding ( of course , some people sort of have the mindsets too ingrained and may not change ) . And it's time we Indians started seeing ourselves as Indians first .

Could be some individual cases. To say in general this thought is wrong. In the South there is more peace,its the North which defends us more. We feel sorry, feel pity ,much worried for the violence, bomb blast and all calamities mainly in North.

yeah, whenever i say that i am maharashtrian, some people start thinking differently or behaving differently, people will always start to generalizing or categorizing everyone they see, but not everyone is like that so i don't care about their views for me and you shouldn't worry about them too!!
