Do you agree with Brazil's President's comments about white people and the recession?

In a recent meeting he claimed that no black man or indigenous person of Brazil is culpable for the global banking crisis, therefore, should not be left accountable to clean it up and suffer the consequences of it. Very strong words... Read the article... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1165089/White-blue-eyed-bankers-brought-world-economy-knees-What-Brazilian-President-told-Gordon-Brown.html I notice that many white people enjoy denouncing the greatness of empires and societies that aren't typically white, this one; which we will call The Western World is a white person's world with euro-centric tendencies... It is gradually showing more and more signs of imperfection and the repercussions diabolically screw everybody over no matter if their input was non-existent or massive. Unfortunately, the blame for this epic downfall will be given to "everybody" so we can all work happily to clean it up (yey!). All of this effort despite the double standard where a small amount of White and Jewish men take control of money and corporate investment... This is the message that President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is trying to perpetuate when he claims that "white, blue-eyed" created this mess because they thought they knew it all. Views?

Answer:
I think he could have said it a little better, but I get the point he is trying to make. Basically, the superpowers like the United States, got greedy during the so called "boom years", and now that the world is much more tied together, when mistakes are made, they are much more catastrophic. Many developing nations around the world were just starting to get going when this hit, and they are affected. Its like paying for a movie without the benefits of watching it. For example, I just saw on the news a report about how the crisis is effecting the Congo. In the span of a month, about 300,000 men have lost their jobs. British owned copper mines have shut down. One man with 9 children said he will not be able to afford to send his youngest children to school anymore. So many poor nations are affected by the bad decisions of a few, even though they had no say so in what lead to this crisis.

Indeed. The man is right .When those middle aged White/Jewish men are reaping their benefits they don't share it with the world, yet when the global crisis occurs were all obligated to "Bail" them out. They use the basis of "Bad loans" as means to cover up their mistakes, putting the blame on the consumers who in the first place feed their greedy behinds.

Biggest load of baloney I've heard in years! If he's going to divide the actions of a group of individuals by race, then he should be ready for the consequences of his actions.

No. I disagree

I politely disagree. Thanks for asking.

I think that everyone is responsible for the recession but yes a lot of the bankers who brought down the economy were coincidentally white. But yeah everyone caused the economy to fall. The world became too naive.

We are all in this together. Both many blacks and whites took out mortgages that they can not afford. I don't know much about Brazil and their recent economic history, but I do know that the Real Estate Crisis was mostly caused by people of wealthy nations. If you took out a mortgage and could not afford it AND if you are a lender who lended out loans to people that could not afford it than you are responsible. Wow! Look at all the thumbs down! People really can not handle the truth! I am so tired of people being afraid to be responsible and take accountability of things. It is just disgusting and immature. Talawah- True. The people that control most of the global economy are white but what does that mean? Blacks, Whites, Asians, Natives, Mulatto's, Mestizo's, etc, etc, They ALL TOOK OUT LOANS THEY KNEW THEY COULD NOT AFFORD during the Real Estate boom, also, many also took out Variable Rate mortgages, which are extremely risky and stupid, during the recession. They still took out loans they could. I know at least 5 black people that took out expensive mortgages and having low paying jobs and they knew they will not be able to afford. They completely relied on the temporary low Variable Rate interest rate during the Housing Boom, even though THEY KNEW that that rate can double at any time! (The Iraq War did not contribute as much to the recession as you may think) You must understand that it was the Banks that caused the recession. IF THE BANKS DON'T GET MONEY (massive foreclosures mean banks don't get paid) THAN THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE CAPITAL TO GIVE OUT TO BUSINESS'S. FOR INVESTMENT. NO INVESTMENT=NO ECONOMIC GROWTH. SINCE BUSINESS'S ARE NOT GROWING, STOCKHOLDERS ARE NOT PROFITING. Stock Holders finance much of a business's financial operations.

Your question is wrong. President Lula was not referring to Brazilians. He would be hypocritical, because him self is white and married with a blue eyed lady. He was talking about poor nations in Africa. Not about Brazil. YOU, understood that he was talking about Brazil because you imagine Brazilians as black and indians. Everybody in Brazil understood that he was saying that about Africans, putting the blame in Europe and USA. It would be a total stupidity, the president of the largest portuguese nation, largest italian nation and second largest german nation outside the original countries, ignore all white Brazilian or blame them, while himself has a lot of white ministers. Including minister of finances and minister of economy. Now, the white Brazilians has the blame together the whites from other nations? The white Brazilians (93 million) are the "bad guys" and the amerindians and black are the 'good". The blacks in USA, UK and France has no blame? I didn't understood the racial aspect. Nope. Most of these bankers, including everyone at the Fed, are Jews, not blue eyed white folk. Yet it is the gentile Anglo/Norwegian folks who are the whipping boys for it all... again. It is amazing how people will differentiate gentile whites from Jews when it comes to things like the Holocaust, but as soon as Jews behave badly, they like to try to blend in as white.

I HIGHLY agree with him. It's pretty apparent that it's their mess. Asian countries (exclude N. Korea) have had their times but its never shaken the U.S. Or other countries of the world like European problems have. I can say the same for Africa and Hati which is a Black run government. I have a new found respect for Brazil and their leader. He is absolutley right.
