What does having a sense of humor really mean?
-
People say you should have a sense of humor, but I can only talk to people straight and honest. Jokes are hard to think of and most I come up with sound lame or don't make people laugh. Or does a sense of humor mean just acting lighthearted and being open minded. & laughing at funny things.

Answer:
It means you recognize humor and appreciate playful teasing. You don't need to be a comedy writer.

Well, saying something that obviously isn't true, but saying it like it is, is a form a humour. For instance "Most people who are confused jump off bridges". Or appeciating irony is another.
