  Is she really the Patron Saint of TV? Considering they didn't have tvs back then, that's something! Like Francis of Assisi, Clare came from a wealthy family and gave up her privileged life to live modestly and humbly. She was a follower of Francis' and admired him deeply...maybe even loved him...but they never married. She was very sickly...physically a lot of her life...and struggled the last years of her life. It's only my impression, but I think in today's world she might be called anorexic because she hardly ate...even though food was available. Maybe she saw that as a way to suffer like Christ did. Can't think of the movie...but there was one made about Clare and Francis that you might want to view. Also, the Poor Clare Sisters who are worldwide probably derived their way of life from her. I receive a daily email newsletter from Sister Patricia Proctor, a Poor Clare Nun in Spokane, WA....www.calledbyjoy.com. There is a St. Clare day because Sister Patricia and the other Poor Clares celebrate it and Sister talks about it with pics in her emails. Also, the founder of EWTN, the Eternal Word Television Network (Catholic Cable Network), Mother Angelica is a Poor Clare nun. The website is...www.ewtn.org...which is in Irondale, AL. Mother and the other Poor Clares live in Hanceville, AL at the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery...they have a website but can't think of it off hand. Good Luck on your project.
