Why is it illegal to ride gas scooters but not electric ones?

Why do young people think motor scooters are gay?

  • Why do these young people have this thing that motor scooters are gay to ride. I used to push a 600 gixxer and switch to motor scooters after I had a bad accident and was lucky enough to walk away with just a broken collarbone. But these young people think riding a motor scooter makes you less than a true rider or takes away some of your manliness. I rode sportsbike when I was young and I never once looked down on any of the people that rode motor scooters. I take my scooter around harley clubs and they welcome me just as if I was riding a harley. Seems like the people that ride speedbikes are the ones that think riding motor scooters are gay and I dont understand why

  • Answer:

You may ride with my club any time, as long as you behave in a responsible manner. I'll wave to you from my Harley trike - which some of those young jackasses think is gay, too. I don't give a rip what they think: I proved my manhood in the U.S. Army!

I'm still young and I think they are cool. There are people who think everything is gay. a lot of young people think it is cool to call everything they don't like gay.

I don't know. I've wanted a motor scooter since I was in the 7th grade. For one reason or another I never got one. Now, years and years later I'm seriously considering buying one.

What does "motor scooters are gay" mean? If it is what I suspect it is I say look in the mirror: On one hand your complaining about the unfair treatment (a predigest) that riders of a class of transport receive by a second user of a class of transport and yet in attempting to do so you have to fall back on your own brand of predigest. You know that does paint you as a hypocrite. Why do you even care what they think? Which in its self is an interesting question as you seem to gather them into the sports bike group when by your own admission you were once a sports bike rider. My money says when you were on your Suzuki you were what you are claiming others are today. And if you think the Harley riders are not as discriminating, you really have no idea. In my experience, when riding, I give a nod and/or a wave to other riders. (including scooter.) Its the Harley (and other cruisers style bike) riders who are less likely to return a friendly wave or nod. Even more so if they are riding in a group.

Because a lot of ignorant young ninnies confuse a display of physical power with other things. As far as something being "gay" because it doesn't make a loud noise... that's both stupid and insultingly homophobic. Y'see, BEING GAY DOES NOT TAKE AWAY YOUR MANLINESS. Gay men are still MEN. Such as these dudes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IC-ZnayVEX0 And I doubt the Dykes on Bikes motorcycle gang is worried about their "manliness," but they are not flimsy women. Asking US why gay = unmanly? Not cool. Anyway, it's stupid to assume someone's sexual orientation has anything to do with his or her mode of transport. Scooters are sensible, economical, low-cost transportation that are probably the most common motor vehicle in Europe. As in most cases of some young idiot saying "that's so gay," the problem is not that their opinion has any weight, it's the ignorance of thinking gay is inferior.
