Cancel enrollment to college?

Should I go to college in LA this fall or Should I just go and intern? Please respond?

• Okay so I got into the college I wanted. The thing is I dont think I can afford it with just me alone! so my parents were talking to me and told me that they are going to be broke because of their taxes and that they will practically have no money left after our vacation to Florida, which will be next week. Which sucks, because at the beginning of the month of April they specifically told me that I can go to LA and go for Fall Quarter, if I dont do well with my grades I may have to come back. So I have already sent my Non Refundable enrollment fee for $100 and sent it in the mail 2 days after they told me that I can go . Its still a possability I can get financial aid, even though my dad makes a good amount of money. So a week ago they told me out of the blue that it would be best to stay here at home and follow my cousins footsteps, what he did was went to school to be a physical therapist and went for 2 years and now has a job doing it, its really nice for him but its not what I want to do. Because I am looking for another job right now in retail or anything to save my money all to September for Fall 2011. But my parents told me just to go a "low key" school which I am really not interested in at all and they want me to get like a trade job or something and then move to LA but by the time I do all that im goning to be like 24, 25 by saving and then start on my undergraduate ill be like 30 years old in college for a undergraduate bachelors degree and I dont want to do that! lol And especially in the entertainment field they want young smart "fresh off the boat" talented people like us. What my parents were saying made since and I can see where they are coming from but I dont see a difference in what they want me to do and what I want to do. I mean what they said was cool but I prefer to start with my dreams first. No Ive thought about instead of getting a bachelors degree I will plan on getting a Associates Degree that way I can have less debt What should I do? I already knew that they wouldnt be able to pay for it for not just wanting to be helpful, but now they say they cant afford it. I really think that I should just ask them for there personal info and fill out the FAFSA so I can get scholarships Grants and Federal Student Loans. If I am in debt , I am willing to go through that because I want to take a chance with my dreams. And I think this is my chance to take it because this will be my last time deferring my application, plus if I cancel it again I will have to reapply which means I have to start all over and ask for my former teachers to write a letter reccamendation and write in essay. Im 20 years old and Im pretty much a adult too, its that my parents can be VERY controlling esp my dad, they are very strict because of their religion and I cant take it any more not to mention that Im gay and I want to live my life! FYI my parents are jehovahs witness so yeah i wanna get out VERY BAD!!! So what should I do go to school for a semester and work here in Atlanta and save up more money and then transfer to the school I want to go to in LA, or should I just go this up coming fall in LA. The reason why I think I should go is because tuition is going higher each year right now for full time student is $5,895 per quarter next year might be $6,000! : ( The thing Im scared about for right after college is that Im afraid that I wont get a internship let alone a full time job to pay for the student loan debt, because the job market sucks right now, so would it be worth going to college? I only have $1,500 in my name however my parents owe $490 that I lent them PS: The reason why this is in the gay section is because im gay and I was wondering if the lgbt, my community on here can give me advice

  Cancel the trip to Florida and use the money to go to LA and what ever it takes do not give up on your dreams. Make it happen. bottom line is your parents do not want you in LA I am not Gay but I was a Witness for 22 years and I know how this goes
