How do I change the name people see when they see my profile?

I noticed my profile has "people may not contact me"?

• When I hover over my profile name, I see that no one can contact me. How do I change this so that people can. And do you recommend that I use an alias instead of my primary yahoo email?

  Click on your avatar or your name to go to your profile page and then click on the Edit my info link.Then in the Privacy section check the box to let people contact you by email and messenger if that's how you want them to ? When someone sends you an email they don't actually get to see your email address it is sent anonymously through yahoo answers, even when you send a reply back to them it is sent back to then through yahoo so there is no actual email addresses seen by either of you. However if choosing to let someone send you an IM your chat ID will be made public so keep that in mind!! When your done making your changes make sure to click on the preview button and the ok button to save them.
