  Place your pointer at the part of your layout you want gone and click, hold the click down while moving your pointer down the length of the page, highlighting as you go. Then take your pointer off the highlighted area and right/click, scroll to delete and click, all gone! If there's still a few pieces of code left, clean it up by highlighting it and repeating the process.
