Why cant i change my profile picture on yahoo?

when i go to my profile it says my picture is what i want it to be, but when i answer things the other one shows (the avatar)

Simple. If it says something like "Yahoo 99 experiencing difficulties" or something similar, then just wait a day or two. If you want to know HOW to change it, there's the Yahoo toolbar at the top of your page. Just by the "my yahoo" and "answers" and "mail" there's the Settings column. Hover over your avatar or the face, and click on "customize avatar" Then you can go from there.
